Massage techniques – Detailed techniques combine Essential oils, Swedish massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Acupressure, joint distraction, scar stripping & hydrotherapy.  We teach a wholesome focus from deep breathing to deep tissue with elbows, stretches and resistance exercise all to enhance mobility and well being.  Enjoy a long rewarding career and deliver deep relaxation & healing while maintaining consciousness of your focus, momentum & posture.

Aromatherapy & History - incl. some Herbal medicine. Aromatherapy effects on the brain. How essences travel through the olfactory to the limbic system affecting mood and emotion, memory, immunity, etc.

Over 60 various Essential Oils –  pages of referenced monographs for each essential oil including chemical composition, origin, production methods, safety, applications and medicinal properties.

 Safety & Contraindications – Learn safety data and toxicity studies regarding essential oils.

 Blending Laws –Learn the rules of blending essential oils for effectiveness and a long lasting blend.

 Treatment Methods & Applications – massage, inhalation, baths, compresses, natural cleanses etc.

 Art of Perfume – the notes system for long lasting full aromatic blends.  Make your own perfume in class and get a good sense of aromatherapy

Basic Chemistry –essential oils contain many natural chemicals.  Each chemical component carries its own properties and some change or are nullified with certain blends.

Quality Control - Develop a connoisseur’s nose for high quality, undiluted, and unadulterated pure essential oils.

Essential oil extraction-Understand various methods of extraction of these pure plant essences.

Storage –Proper storage increases shelf life, strength and safety. Some essential oils become harmful to the skin, 6 months after opening.

Client Safety – safety and contra-indications with heart condition, whiplash, pregnancy, epilepsy etc.  Understand the do’s & don’ts regarding treatments and essential oils.

 Client Health History –Learn to take a professional health history.  These reports enable a more complete understanding of your client’s heath care needs, while you  tract aromatic blends to avoid sensitization.

 Pathology 101- Discover various conditions essential oils can aid to dramatically increase healing rate.

Basic Anatomy - Develop a basic knowledge of various systems in the body.  From diagrams to body painting we offer visual tools.  Learn useful tips to improve functions and integrity of each system.

Pregnancy, Breast-feeding, babies & childcare – Learn gentle, safe, effective natural techniques to nourish and heal our little loved ones.  A natural start will strengthen the body’s own healing abilities & enhance immune system.  We do outreaches to WomanCare Midwives with their pregnancy and baby clinic.

 Reviews – Following each chapter are questions to review new material.  These reviews provide repetition, benefiting memory and confidence.  Our review class reviews theoretical exam questions and accepts submission of outstanding assignments.

Nutrition 101 –Wholesome nutrition is fundamental of good health and vitality.  Increase healing by supporting detoxification and nourishment with food basics.  From juice fasts to wheat grass, it’s a green revolution.

Business Basics – We have integrated Tad Hardgrave's Radical Business Intensive for Holistic Practitioners into our engaging business lecture.  Learn to create wonderful brochures and business cards.  There are so many opportunities from Spas, home business, house calls to handicap or retirees, bridal parties, Bed and Breakfasts & Resorts outreaches and more. From the art of negotiations to successful seminars marketed on a shoe string budget, you won't want to miss this class.

 Practical Treatments – Every afternoon students give/receive massage treatments.  We always start from the back massage, repeating each day as we learn more increments of this therapeutic full body massage.  As you can imagine all these massages really pay off.  With students receiving daily treatments, compassionate hands follow, dramatically increasing rejuvenation process.

Certification Requirements

Upon completion of all classes, 35 clinical, a blending assignment, and essential oils cards and condition cards, you may book your written and practical exams. Students must receive a minimum of 75% on the written exam. We estimate the home assignments take approximately 150-200 hours.  We offer small classes for personal attention and accelerated learning.

Correspondence with D.V.D. is available.  We offer complimentary Tutorial Support via e-mail and our toll free phone line. Written exams are shipped to your local library.  Practical exam is waived with the submission of 35 clinical case health histories.

$2700 includes all textbooks, D.V.D., examination fees, class supplies, & clinical bookings.  Stephie Cyr is a certified Aromatherapy instructor and has been teaching for 8 years. Aromatherapy Certification minus the massage component is $1350.  Certified hot stone, spa therapist receive $150 off course.  R.M.T.'s receive CEU's + a $500 discount with proof of certification.   About Stephie
